About Us

Cobra Performing Arts, Inc. has taken New York and its neighboring states by storm, providing opportunities that promote leadership, teamwork, and physical fitness with a strong focus on character development. Our programs offer young people a platform to grow, both individually and collectively, while creating memorable experiences through music, dance, and performance.

With a long list of accolades, some of our most notable achievements include a role in the Oscar-winning film Birdman, alongside actors Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, and Emma Stone. Filming in Times Square was grueling but rewarding, as the movie went on to win Best Film of the Year at the 2015 Oscars. We’ve also worked with the NFL, performing in the pregame presentation at Times Square on Super Bowl Boulevard and leading the Vince Lombardi Trophy into the stadium at the 2014 Super Bowl.

Our members have had once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, such as partnering with Civic Marketing Group and Planet Fitness for the iconic New Year's Eve event in Times Square. Branded as the "Planet Fitness Judgement Free Drumline," the Marching Cobras entertained millions of viewers worldwide with a high-energy, non-stop performance.

As we continue to grow, our international presence is expanding. We've performed in London and France, and in 2025, we are set to showcase our talent in Ireland’s prestigious New Year’s Eve Parade. These experiences empower our members, build teamwork, and create lifelong memories while developing critical skills like communication, decision-making, and confidence.

Through every performance, Cobra Performing Arts showcases the transformative power of music and dance, inspiring audiences while developing the leaders of tomorrow.

The program also tackles critical issues facing today’s youth, including escalating violence, gang activity, high dropout rates, and the absence of positive male and female role models. It aims to reduce risky behaviors within this vulnerable population. Additionally, the program addresses the often-overlooked issue of overweight and obesity, particularly within minority communities, where intervention is crucial for both the short- and long-term well-being of these youth. To combat this, we’ve integrated a "Healthy Lifestyles and Transitions Program" as part of the Marching Cobras initiative, promoting wellness alongside music and performance.

One of the aspects we are most proud of is that our program requires no prior experience. Many of our members had no background in drumming or dancing when they joined. Their interest led them to us, and it is here where we help shape and develop their skills. While experience can be beneficial, it is by no means a requirement. Dedication and a willingness to learn are all that’s needed. Watching someone go from knowing very little to mastering their craft is the most rewarding part of our work. The program also fosters strong, respectful bonds, helping shy individuals break out of their shells and thrive. Everyone who is willing to put in the effort has a place in our program.
